Last week marked a very special occasion for our team as we attended the HCCI Annual Award Ceremony held in the beautiful town of Athlone. The event, organised by Home and Community Care Ireland (HCCI), brought together home care professionals from across the country to celebrate the dedication, compassion, and hard work that defines our sector.

We were honoured and absolutely thrilled to have our own Jordan, one of our incredible Care Coordinators, shortlisted for the "Scheduler of the Year" award. Being recognised at a national level is no small feat, and this nomination reflects the remarkable job Jordan does every single day. From managing complex schedules to ensuring continuity of care for our clients, Jordan plays a crucial role behind the scenes that keeps everything running smoothly. His attention to detail, empathy, and reliability are appreciated by colleagues, carers, and clients alike.

Jordan was joined on the night by our Managing Director, Colette, who proudly represented Affinity Plus Home Support and showed support for all the nominees and winners. Although Jordan did not take home the award this year, we are incredibly proud of his achievement in being shortlisted. It’s a true reflection of the excellence and dedication he brings to his role.

The evening itself was a fantastic celebration of the home care industry. Held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it was an opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, hear inspiring stories, and recognise the outstanding contributions being made across the country. Both Jordan and Colette had a wonderful evening, filled with great company, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose and pride in the work we all do.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to HCCI for hosting such a meaningful event and for continuing to highlight the importance of quality home care in Ireland. And of course, a big congratulations to all the nominees and winners on the night – your dedication and impact are truly inspiring.
